This is my first drawing of Bea–before she even had a name. I had no idea which era I was going to set The Dreamer in. I found a pretty dress I liked on google and sketched something out.
(Fun fact: Before Alan and Bea had names, in my notes they were just “A” and “B” as placeholders. “A” became “Alan” and “B”, well, “B” pretty much stayed “Bea.”)
This morning Webmaster Mike and I finished packing all of our earthly belongings into a trailer and we’ll see them again in California.
Despite my best planning efforts, there is no Dreamer update today. And there won’t be for the next two weeks. Right after Thanksgiving my sister and I are headed on a cross-country trip to drive my car out to San Diego.
I have a bunch of deadlines I need to hit for Wynonna Earp before the end of the month. I’ve been at my desk till midnight every night trying to finish the first issue. Occasionally my mother-in-law comes down and puts food in front of me. She is the best.
In the meantime, Ask A Dreamer! comics will continue on Wednesdays.
And for my Patreon subscribers, I’ll be opening up the vault and posting old artwork. Old Dreamer concept art like this drawing of Bea, but I’m also going way back…
I’m talking Ghostbuster comic strips from the second grade, and Interview With The Vampire fan fiction.
Next Monday I’ll be posting the final chapter of “A Most Agreeable Thanksgiving” on Patreon. Subscribe now and you can read the entire story.
We’ll be voting on which Dreamer short story to start next. The Dreamer short stories update every Monday on Patreon. All Patreon subscribers have access to the short stories, no matter the size of your pledge!
Regular Dreamer updates return on the other side of my move.
Come back on Wednesday for a very special Thanksgiving edition of Ask A Dreamer!
